Policy Brief
An ambitious program of reconstruction and development is currently being initiated by the international community in Afghanistan even while millions of Afghan citizens remain in desperate need of short-term humanitarian assistance. The upcoming HPCR policy brief, expected to be available on the portal in early March, examines the next phase of the humanitarian aid effort in light of the international community's experience delivering humanitarian assistance during the Taliban era. The policy brief goes on to note important policy considerations in the newly complex political, social and economic environment.
