| About the E-Forums |
| |
The aims of the E-Forums section are to:
- Exchange information and analysis on the sources of insecurity in Indonesia
and possible strategies for preventive action.
- Increase the understanding of social, political and economic factors of
instability and the linkages between them.
- Develop further the use of online conferencing to facilitate the exchange of
information and analysis between scholars, policy makers and practitioners from
Indonesia and from around the world working on these issues.
As the E-Forums are online, they will operate 24
hours a day in all locations and time zones. You will be able
to follow any debate and contribute at any time
from anywhere in the world.
These E-Forums bring together government officials, scholars, NGO activists,
and officials from national and international agencies, representing a wide
variety of different perspectives to discuss some of the central issues that underpin
the crisis in Indonesia. The Harvard Program hopes that the conference will make a
contribution, not only to a more informed understanding of the roots of the current
crises, but also to its non-violent management and ultimate resolution.
