NEW AND UPDATED FEATURES

New Section: Selected News
We have added a selected news section to our homepage to provide users with the latest headlines from Nepal. This section, which is updated bi-weekly, highlights key news stories about human security in Nepal. For further resources, we also invite you to visit our local and international news section.

Organizations
The Organizations database, which includes links to NGOs, inter-governmental organizations, academic institutions and research institutes working on conflict prevention and human security in Nepal, has now been updated to include over one hundred organizations. The organizations database allows users to search by type of organization, region or topic. If you wish to send us the contact information of your organizations, please contact us at: cpi_hpcr@hsph.harvard.edu

Issues
The Issues database has also been recently updated and now includes over 400 articles on topics such as governance, peace building, economic and social development, human rights and humanitarian assistance in Nepal. As we closely follow events in Nepal, we are continuing to add articles and analysis related to the current crises.

We encourage organizations and individuals to inform us of relevant documents on issues related human security in Nepal, which are available on the web or could be made available by CPI on the portal.

Resources
The Resources section of the portal includes easy access to links to general information on Nepal, libraries and journals, and other portals focusing on Nepal and on conflict prevention. A Nepal timeline of critical events since January 2001 can also be found in the resources section. The timeline, constructed by the CPI research team, has recently been updated to include events since this past March. Click here to access the timeline.
